Press release: ISKCON Udaipur New temple Press conference
ISKCON is an international level organization to protect & promote Sanatana dharma and in its quest for the same, is coming out with a very unique and iconic Cultural & Spiritual center in Udaipur, ISKCON COVEY (Center of Vedic Center and Yoga) at a very prime and most Strategic location, atop a hill in Mohanpura, Chrirwa. This place is a perfect combination of Serenity and Proximity.
This project is not only going to cater to the people of Udaipur but to the people of India and world at larger to provide both Cultural and Spiritual inspiration, and also its very near to Nathadwara and Ekilingji. This Project is going to make people aware of the most glorious traditional & Spiritual culture of India and in particular Rajasthan, and expose cultural heritage of Rajasthan to the entire world. It will help increase number of visitors to Udaipur, especially to places like Nathadwara and Eklingji. People of Rajasthan especially farmers and children of Rajasthan will get an opportunity to present traditional art and organic methods of farming to international community. This project also has plans of rural development of the nearby villages.
This project will span over beautiful 3.5 acres of land on a hill top just after Chirwa tunnel will include facilities like
- Brahmchari & Grihastha Ashram
- Sri Sri Radha Govardhandhari Mandir,
- Vedic Education Center with fully equipped auditorium, for all ages from children to Senior citizens with special focus on empowering youth & corporate professionals,
- Guest houses,
- Children play area, Dwadash gardens of Vrindavan
- Govardhan parikrama,
- Yamuna Rani,
- Youth hostel,
- Govinda’s pure vegetarian restaurant
- & future plans of Goshala & bringing a fully fledged Gurukula to empower children right from their early ages.
This project will be led by a team of very learned and experienced people from all walks of life, to name a few of them,
- Sh Madan Govinda das: Project Director, He has 17 years of senior leadership experience with corporates like Johnosn and Johnson, Unilever India, Srilanka, Indonesia and IIM Udaipur as a guest faculty.
- Mr Ravi Burman: Chairman of the Advisory committee, a very renowned businessman who shifter from Kanpur to Udaipur many years back only to stay under the shelter of Srinath Ji
- Mr Sutinder Mahajan: Vice Chairman, recently retired as MD and CEO of Wolkems limited
- Mr Rakesh Maheshwari: Treasurer, holding/held responsible positions with Rotary club and UCCI
- Mr Pradeep Gupta: a business man who has also served as president of a Rotary club chapter in past.
- Many other Executive Members of the Advisory committee who come with great experience and wisdom to deliver this project
Ar Sunil S Ladha, a very renowned Architect globally has designed the entire project with a wonderful Vrindavan theme. This project is intended to be completed within 3 to 5 years of time with an approx budget of Rs 30 -35 Crores.
Udaipur ISKCON started sometime in 2015 and at present has a center Sri Sri Jagannath Mandir located at Gangu kund spreading the wisdom of Bhagavad Gita and Srimad Bhagavatam to all sections of society. His Grace Mayapurvasi das is heading the operations with great enthusiasm and motivation to further take temple operations to the next level.
